The Town Council of Centreville received the proposed FY 2011 Budget prepared by the staff, which proposes retaining the real property tax rate of $0.38 per $100 of assessed value as set by the Council last year. Over the past five years, that rate has been reduced by more than 20% from $0.48.
The Council is scheduled to have a first reading of the FY 2011 Budget Ordinance at its 7PM meeting on Thursday, June 3, 2010. The Town Budget Hearing begins at 6:30PM on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. On Wednesday, June 16, 2010, the Town Council is scheduled for second reading and consideration of the FY 2011 Budget. There will also be discussion of the FY 2011 Budget at one or more worksessions June 8, 10, and 15 at 4PM, which the Council has tentatively scheduled to inform the budget approval process. Check this page or on the calendar for up to the minute worksession information. Copies of the Proposed Budget are available at Town Hall and will be posted on the website shortly.
