The historic Old Bohemia House in Cecil County is available for restoration through the state’s Resident-Curatorship Program, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has announced.
In exchange for an annual $1 lifetime lease, curators — either individuals or organizations — agree to restore and maintain the house and grounds at no cost to the state, and in accordance to historic preservation standards.
Bruce Alexander, who manages DNR’s Curatorships and Cultural Resources, called the program a grand example of partnering between the public and private sectors.
